UPSC has released examination calendar for civil services 2017. Civil services preliminary examination 2017 is going to be held in the month of June 2017 and civil services main examination 2017 will be held in the month of October. Date of Preliminary Exam – 18 June 2017
Civil Services (Main) Exam, 2017 – 28 October, 2017 (5 days)
Last year, prelims was held in the month of August but this year, it is going to be held in the month of June only. This will leave less time for Prelims Examination.
